POSITION LOCATION: Tucker, Georgia
An established international pharmaceutical distributor is looking for a full-time materials handler to join the warehouse and logistics team. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and conscientious with the ability to multitask as priorities change throughout the work day. Small private company environment.
Primary Objective of Position
Responsible for carrying out day-to-day functions handling logistical aspects of pharmaceutical receiving, inventory management, specialized packaging and monitored international shipping to healthcare facilities. Most products are environmentally sensitive and high value requiring special handling.
Duties and Responsibilities
Comply with all internal SOP’s and government regulations pertaining to the handling of pharmaceuticals.
Coordinate with sales and operations teams daily to prioritize and prep order fulfillment for shipping.
Prepare and condition cold chain and ambient shippers prior to packing.
Meticulously pick materials documenting product form, strength, NDC, lot and expiration date.
Organize international shipments with couriers and freight forwarders.
Review all shipping documentation for accuracy prior to release of materials.
Track all shipments to destination and quickly rectify any shipping issues.
Engage manufacturers for compliance data in the event of transport temperature excursions.
Manage maintenance schedules and contracts for refrigeration, environmental monitoring, security and HVAC systems.
Maintain facility QA requirements.
Maintain compliance with the Drug Supply Chain Security Act.
Required Qualifications and Experience: 3 + years in the pharmaceutical industry working in clinical, quality control or supply chain departments.
Education: Must have completed 12 + years of school. 4-year degree is preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Physical Demands: The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds for short distances, safely lift up to 70 pounds, and maneuver occasional pallet loads with the use of a manual pallet jack.
