An established international pharmaceutical distributor is looking for a full-time materials handler to join the warehouse and logistics team. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, organized, and conscientious with the ability to multitask as priorities change throughout the work day. Small private company environment.
Summary of Position: Operations assistant supports all operations departments including procurement, warehouse / logistics, inventory and sales with the goal of providing specialty medications to international healthcare facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain optimum inventory levels to insure on-time deliveries meeting customer requirements while minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges.
Maintain data files of open and closed purchase orders and updates pending orders worksheets.
Support the sales team by obtaining quotes for products from various vendors, necessary to respond to facility requests.
Communicate daily with management to determine any supply issues and task priorities.
Develop strong working relationships with vendors as well as co-workers.
Input new product lines into the inventory management system.
Assist in receiving of products, pulling orders, packaging shipments.
Processing of returns for damaged, expired or incorrect shipped products.
General office duties and co-worker support as needed.
Education and/or Experience: Minimum of a High School Diploma and 2+ years’ experience in a comparable position with a pharmaceutical or medical products company.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Outlook and Excel. Experience with QuickBooks Inventory.
Other Skills and Abilities:Desire to work in a nontraditional, participative small work environment. Organizational skill and attention to all details are essential for this position.
